Two multiplayer maps - Wasteland Bullet and Vekta Cruiser - form the first package of downloadable content for Killzone 2. Gametrailers featured the maps on its supa-special Gametrailers TV Thursday night. Here they are broken out:

'US, ' : ''); April 10, 2009 - Tired of blasting your way through the same Helghan maps over and over again in multiplayer? You're in luck, because Guerrilla Games is bringing new downloadable maps for players. On a recent episode of Gametrailers with Geoff Keighley, Hermen Hulst, Managing Director of Guerrilla Games mentioned that the designers are planning that the first map pack will be called Steel and Titanium, and will be set aboard two large vehicles. The first one is set aboard the ISA tech cruiser New Sun, and will feature multiple decks that you can use to shell players below you. The other map is set aboard twin moving Helghast trains, and players will fight their way from one train to the other. While you can leap from one train to the other side at any time, you have to be careful, because you can accidentally collide with environmental objects or fall to your death.

Hulst mentioned that these were designed because they were two sections that were fan favorites, and mentioned that there was "definitely more to come." Specifically in regards to the second map pack, he did mention that the word retro features prominently within the pack. Keighley asked if that could possibly mean Killzone 1, and Hulst responded positively, stating, "You got it!" Steel and Titanium is scheduled to come out at the end of April.
