'Watch' out for more Home Beta Invites

When Home was first revealed, back in the ancient days of March 2007, one of the features heavily promoted was the ability to watch real-world content on in-game movie and television screens. Now, in the present days of November 2008, some of that is finally coming to fruition, as film marketing company PPC (Picture Production Company) has brought the latest Watchmen trailer to Home movie theaters.

As PS3Fanboy reports, this is only the start of further cross-promotions between Watchmen and Home in the near future, as PPC promised "some very exciting movie related activity next month." Whether any of this will have anything to do with the recently announced game remains to be seen.

All this cross-promotional content comes along with the news that 100,000 new Home beta invites were sent out this week, along with the launch of Home beta v1.0 (via Eurogamer). As a Home community manager announced on the European forums, yet another large batch of invites is planned to be go out next Thursday, with an open beta "not far behind." After nearly two years of waiting, could it be that Home is finally nearing a true, full-blown release? Sure seems that way.

I never did get into the Home Beta.. (stupid Qore). But I'm hoping it comes out soon!! stoked for Watchmen!!!

So far I have seen TheTownHero, SloPok5, Mvrive, Draco22, and PlayItLoud be recently invited....more invites are going out to test servers and loads prior to Open Beta!
